Creating a statement ceremony
Couples often ask me where they should spend their money when it comes to the florals for their wedding days. All too often, couples will try to make their budget stretch across the whole day - the result is some lovely flower arrangements but it can feel a bit lacklustre and bare. Really what you want to think about is where the main photos are going to be taken. In most cases, this is where people arrive e.g. the entrance to the venue, the ceremony (specifically behind where you will be standing or sitting) and also the reception (especially behind where the speeches will be made).
If you can, I would concentrate most on the ceremony space. Think a large arch, urn or meadow display. This will give guests the ‘wow’ factor as they walk in to the room. At this point, no one will really notice if there are sweet little pew ends tied to the ends of the chairs. Often these displays can then be moved to your reception space, killing two birds with one stone.
